Departmental Overview The Gift Planning Coordinator in the Office of Gift Planning serves a vital role in helping the team accomplish its goals. The Gift Planning team is the one unit that conducts gift planning fundraising for the entire campus. Working with donors whose average outright gift is $100,000, whose average life income gift is $250,000, whose estate gift average is $450,000, and whose average bequest commitment is $1 million, each year approximately $50 million is raised through the office. The Coordinator supports the leadership team, develops materials, organizes related programs and events. This position is the only one that exists on campus and is a critical component of the campus-wide fundraising efforts
Under general supervision, exercises limited discretion and professional judgment in implementing established components of gift planning leadership team fundraising efforts. Specifically drafts/edits leadership team correspondence for prospects/donors, donor advisors and internal constituencies. Coordinates prospect/donor/internal meetings and follow up. Reimburses principals and pays department bills..
Develops and maintains quarterly, biannual, annual and campaign management reports, providing basic analysis of program trends, and short and long range results. Assists in office administration including complex data management.
Administers, documents and reports gift planning prospecting and donor ($500K+) stewardship program activities.
Supports gift planning fundraising efforts. Specifically drafts/edits one or more fundraiser correspondence for prospects/donors and donor advisors. Coordinates prospect/donor meetings and follow up.
In partnership with one or more gift planning coordinator, manages gift planning prospect management systems as well as gift planning module in CADS.
Completes other projects as assigned.
Working knowledge of fundraising, donor relations and public relations concepts, principles, procedures and techniques.
Working knowledge of the campus, its vision, mission, goals, objectives, achievements and infrastructure.
Working knowledge of - or ability to quickly acquire knowledge of- applicable laws, rules, regulations, policies, et cetera.
Working knowledge of CADS, Microsoft Office Suite, and Google Apps for Business
Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills to establish and maintain good working relationships throughout the campus and with external constituencies.
Excellent organizational, analytical and critical thinking skills.
Skill to maintain confidentiality.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
