Reporting to the People Lab Director, the Research Project Manager for Wharton People Analytics (WPA) works with faculty, students, and organizations to develop and manage a broad spectrum of projects associated with the People Lab initiative, whether initiated by WPA or requested by external organizations who seek to utilize the expertise of Wharton in this area.
With oversight from the People Lab director, the Research Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing all facets of People Lab projects, from day-to-day operations to ensuring that all deliverables are completed, on time and within budget. Tasks include managing complex and long term projects with varied stakeholders, contributing to the design of research studies, collaborating with and directing research assistants and student teams, negotiating changes to projects as needed, advising on projects and timeliness, assisting in preparing research for publication and/or dissemination to organizations, and managing project workflows.
Working both independently and collaborating with the Wharton community and external organizations, this position identifies new initiatives for research and provides oversight for multiple projects, including but not limited to those that are revenue generating, with particular focus on WPA’s work in assessment, personal development, performance and leadership development. The research project manager role will evolve in complexity over time, and will be an integral position supporting the growth of an innovative initiative.
