We’re in search of a new Director of Development, Foundation Relations who will develop strategic relationships with funders by understanding their philanthropic objectives and mapping them to the vision and mission of Catholic Extension. Working together, Catholic Extension and its foundation partners will continue to fund programs that have a transformative impact on faith communities and the populations they serve.
Over the last 113 years, Catholic Extension has distributed more than $1.3 billion to build strong communities of faith, so that Catholics in these areas have the tools to inspire hope and ignite change. These funds are made possible by tens of thousands of donors each year. Catholic Extension’s foundation partners are among the most invested and there is significant potential to increase the number of funders involved.
In this role, you will:
Serve as an integral member of a 20+ member development team within a mature program
Own responsibility for the foundation giving program, including carrying a portfolio of local, regional and national foundations
Meet with foundation representatives on behalf of Catholic Extension
Write proposals and report on giving impact for our leadership to share with donors and funders
Serve as an integral member of the major gifts team, as well as other Catholic Extension staff

Catholic Extension seeks a development professional with a minimum 10 years’ post college work experience and minimum of 5 years in a foundations relations/fundraising role or directly related experience. Bachelor’s degree is required and master’s degree or CFRE is preferred.
