Kentucky Electric Cooperatives is the statewide association that provides services for the 24 local, consumer-owned electric distribution utilities in the state, as well as two generation and transmission cooperatives that produce power. Electric co-ops in Kentucky serve 843,000 consumer-members, providing power to one-third of Kentucky’s population. Association services include representation before the General Assembly, Congress and regulatory bodies; safety training; coordination of management training; and public relations support including publication of Kentucky Living magazine, the largest circulation publication in the state with about 475,000 copies mailed monthly, with a readership of 1.2 million.
The Technical Support Administrator will be responsible for end-user support; troubleshooting, installing and configuring end-user devices including computers, mobile devices, printers and telephones; device refresh and migration. This role will be involved in the development of information technology and organization infrastructure projects and software, based on business needs. Assists in developing reporting solutions efficiently utilizing reporting tools and data-sets for our end-users. Collaborates with vendor resources throughout project life cycle.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for end user support including; troubleshooting and resolving problems related to hardware, operating system and network issues with Windows & Mac OS including Office 365 and OneDrive for Business
Expected to set up and troubleshoot issues with printers, including basic diagnosis and repair, as well as managing printer queues
Assists in developing reporting solutions efficiently utilizing reporting tools
Collaborates with vendors, end users and leadership to continuously improve products and services available to assist in achieving company goals
Conduct training programs designed to educate organization’s users about applications
Expected to perform research, coordinate with other team members and document tickets in the help desk system to resolve issues
Will manage IT projects from creation to implementation and maintenance of new software, hardware and systems.
Accountable for technical writing, including training and process documentation
Provide excellent and personable customer service
Associates degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or Business Analytics required, Bachelor’s degree preferred
2 years experience Networking and troubleshooting PC and Mac environments required
2 years experience developing reports in SQL, PowerBI or IBM Cognos preferred
Experience with Enterprise resource planning (ERP) applications such as VAI – Vormittag, Microsoft Dynamics or SAP is preferred
Project Management Professional Certifications are required within one year of hire date
