EVENTS AND ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT II , System Design and Management (SDM)-Integrated Design and Management (IDM) (part-time, 32 hrs/wk.), to join a group that develops leaders focused on the intersection of engineering, management and design. Will perform complex and diverse duties for a program that includes seven core staff members and over forty students. Duties will include planning events, assisting during the high-volume admissions period, designing graphics for events and program promotion, and providing calendar management and other support for the program director. IDM and SDM are jointly offered by the MIT School of Engineering (SoE) and the MIT Sloan School of Management.
REQUIRED : a high school diploma; at least three years of administrative and/or event planning experience; ability to work independently on several projects concurrently; excellent organizational, project management, prioritization, problem solving, interpersonal, and oral and written communication skills; initiative; customer service orientation; attention to detail; discretion and judgment with confidential information/issues; and proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. A bachelor's degree, experience in an academic environment, and knowledge of and experience with Google Drive are preferred. Job #16844-5
