DIRECTSUPERVISOR: ARP Executive Director
The Sr. Specialist, ARP Educational Products & Services is charged with managing the ARP Educational Portfolio through revision, development, and implementation of virtual educational offerings-nationally and internationally; serving as staff liaison, supporting assigned committee(s) in realizing its Program of Work to expand the online ARP educational content targeted at rheumatology’s inter-professional disciplines. This includes the development of current market analysis and detailed business plans to ensure scalability, leaner satisfaction, accreditation, and new sources of revenue.
Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent professional
Minimum of four years or more of successful project coordination of online and/or in-person medical education development, with preference to non-profit associations and Continuing Medical Education experience.
Advanced knowledge of Windows Operating Systems, Microsoft applications, Adobe Creative Cloud, content management systems, learning management systems, and internet
Demonstrated expertise and success in:
Clear oral and written communication;
Project management skills with the ability to balance multiple priorities and meet deadlines;
Ability to design and utilize diverse communications methods and tools to effectively target messages to stakeholders and clearly convey concepts;
Excellent proofreading/editing skills;
Highly developed sense of integrity and commitment to working as part of a team;
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work with staff, volunteers, members, and vendors tactfully and efficiently;
Financial oversight and educational grant management;
Knowledge of Accreditation Council of Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) criteria, including the Standards of Commercial Support; the American Medical Association (AMA), American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) Maintenance of Certification (MOC)
Program; in addition to accreditation for allied professionals, i.e. nursing, physician, assistant, etc.;
Product management and marketing;
Ability to formulate ideas/solutions and solve problems; and
Ability to lift a minimum of 20 pounds on a routine
Serve as stakeholder voice related Technology Steering Committee prioritized projects.
Manage product content development process, vendor relations, budget, subscriptions and purchases, and all product branding, marketing, and communications.
Manage virtual meeting and provide logistical support for virtual
Responsible for ensuring work, rights, and permissions are properly represented within ACR’s internal systems and online educational
Manage learner inquiries related to online educational
Develop and manage marketing plans that generate revenue, learner participation, learner satisfaction and aligns with the College goals and image, includes collaboration with the Marketing and Communications department, to implement communications and lead generation strategy across multiple
Maintain standard operating procedure documentation, website content, and training staff on activity creation and user workflow in the learning management system, association management systems, and website for digital
Maintain all learner statistics and user data to make recommendations to leadership on education, includes providing an annual report of success, challenges, and/or failures of initiatives, under the incumbent’s purview along with recommended corrective action to be taken on an ongoing basis.
Development and implement evaluation process for online educational
Mange website content and member communications related to online
Actively manage sound fiscal oversight of products and services, including drafting budgets, recommending product pricing, processing accounts payables/receivables, and manage sponsorships/grants received in support of product and services.
Work in partnership with ARP membership staff to cross-sell products and services.
Serve as staff liaison to assigned committees responsible for administration of current and future work and programs, including minutes, meeting/conference call coordination, project communication/management.
