Under the direction of the Assistant Dean for Information Technology, the Director will provide oversight of project management, multimedia and IT operational administration. The Director will assist in the development and execution of operational plans that supports the College\u2019s mission and strategic plan, which includes continual service improvement, project planning, budgeting, vendor relations and personnel management.
Oversees IT functions including IT operations, classroom and conference technologies, and project management through implementation of processes that deliver excellent customer service;
Explores, assesses and reports on new and emerging technologies that will improve quality and reduce costs for IT operations and services.
Guide the selection of multi-media technologies for meeting, presentation and learning spaces.
Provide overall direction for ITS policy function, including responsibilities for identifying and prioritizing policy needs, ensuring appropriate campus involvement, and conducting research and benchmarking for emerging policy development.
Lead and implement the planning, initiation, and management of ITS projects, linking them to the College's mission and strategic plan.
Maintains effective working relationships and acts as the primary point of contact for vendors and solution providers. As directed by the Assistant Dean, participates in vendor contract negotiations.
Actively participates in the information technology planning and annual budget processes and assist with long term planning with a focus toward operational excellence;
Attract, hire, train, and develop an exceptional cohesive ITS team. Champion a positive, collaborative work environment that promotes quality work and exceptional customer service.
Establish and maintain detailed, consistent and reliable communications about ITS operations, systems, projects, performance and quality. Serve as point person for communications related to incident responses or other urgent alerts, notices and warnings.
As needed, will act as the Deputy IT officer in the absence of the Assistant Dean for Information Technology;
Performs other duties as assigned.
