Boston Children's Hospital is a leading pediatric organization with a strategic commitment to IT excellence. The organization achieved the elite Stage 7 EMR adoption rating from HiMSS in 2010, and continues to lead in EMR deployment and development. We are currently looking for team members to join the Applications team responsible for managing, optimizing and enhancing a large suite of Clinical Applications. Qualified candidates for this role will need to be eager to learn, prepared to embrace challenges, and be able to demonstrate a track record of success in an academic or professional setting. This Lead EMR Analyst will be responsible for:
Leveraging your background and expertise in Cerner's suite of EHR solutions to help guide projects and associated decision making.
Consulting with team members and the clinical community to match users' needs to the capabilities of our software.
Maintaining strong industry knowledge and familiarity with how others successfully deal with common problems facing EHR/EMR users.
Fulfilling the role of a Subject Matter Expert on assigned projects, as well as within the team.
Mentoring team members to help them develop their breadth and depth of Cerner Solutions, integration, and interoperability. This also involves assisting with the onboarding of new team members.
Taking the lead on issue resolution: This entails proactively working with team members and vendors to identify the root cause of a problem and facilitate the proposed solution(s).
To qualify, you must have:
5-10 years of experience implementing a range of Cerner solutions is required.
Project Management experience, and strong organization skills.
Experience with SQL, CCL and/or Unix is preferred.
Previous experience as an Integration Architect is a plus.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required, Masters a plus.
Cross functional solution development expertise.
Excellent written communication and presentation skills.
Demonstrated cross functional teamwork and collaboration.
