The Airport Design & Construction Department (ADC) is searching for a self-directed individual with demonstrated leadership and construction management experience for a Senior Manager, Construction Services role. ADC expects to implement the Authority’s Airport Development Plan, which is expected to include the design and construction of terminal, airside and landside improvements, and is responsible for the definition, planning, design, construction and close-out of Capital Improvement Program (CIP) and Major Maintenance Program (MMP) projects. ADC projects are implemented using a variety of delivery methods, including design-build and design-bid- build.
The position will oversee the construction management program for airport construction projects and is responsible for ensuring construction project goals are timely met within contract requirements. Projects in the program may range in type and size from small renovations of existing terminal, landside, and airfield facilities to large new terminal, landside, and airfield facilities worth multiple hundreds of million dollars in construction value and require individualized construction management solutions.
Representative duties include, but are not limited to:
Manages and participates in the development and implementation of long and short-term goals, objectives, policies, and priorities; recommends and administers policies and procedures; develops policy and procedures to ensure quality control of all construction and inspection related functions.
Responsible for keeping construction projects within approved budgets and their schedule; monitors and evaluates the efficiency and effectiveness of service delivery methods and procedures; recommends, within departmental policy, appropriate service and staffing levels; participates in the development of project scope, budget, funding, and schedule.
Provides leadership and coaching necessary to attract, develop and retain a highly competent and diverse staff; coaches and fosters teams, performance, accountability, development and productive work environment; recognizes and rewards achievements.
Reviews and approves technical reports, and contract documents to assure adequacy, and compliance with project constructability and cost efficiency;
Represents the department and Authority in interactions with internal departments, governmental agencies, tenants and the public; provides technical expertise and recommendations.
Performs other related duties as required.

Required Education, Training and Experience:
Graduation from a four-year college or university with a degree in architecture, engineering, construction management or a closely related field; and
Twelve years of large scale construction or project management experience, of which five years were in a management capacity;
Or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
