Position Description The Morgan Stanley Global Monitoring Governance Team is seeking to hire a full time Program Manager to oversee the planning and implementation of global trade surveillance coverage leveraging vendor solutions. This person will work closely with Vendors, Compliance and internal Technology teams to define the operating model, manage priorities and resourcing, create metrics/reporting for senior management consumption and lead the ongoing management of the Program. The Candidate will drive day-to-day project management, analysis and oversight of deliverables related to the trade surveillance vendor implementation including:
Execute program management activities related to the global surveillance expansion initiative including maintaining or developing implementation plans with consideration of staffing requirements
Establish relationships with both in-house technology teams and third party IT vendors
Communicate and coordinate regularly with regional key stakeholders regarding the program
Establish and generate project reporting and stakeholder communications
Manage the global rollout of vendor surveillance to all remaining equity and listed derivatives markets
Manage the global rollout of vendor surveillance to MS Investment Management
Manage work streams associated with the optimization of existing vendor surveillance
Coordinate the standardization of key data files and processes including alert management
Manage the on-boarding, training, and user testing of new vendor products and features to global surveillance user base
Undergraduate degree required
3-5 years of experience at a financial institution or consulting firm
Proven consultative skills, working with business users to document priorities and where necessary requirements
Experience managing relationships with senior in-house and vendor stakeholders; proven track record influencing others to facilitate and achieve results
Creative problem solver with high level of learning agility and initiative
Detail-oriented and organized
Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills - ability to communicate clearly and concisely both verbally and in writing.
Interest in or appreciation for technology and data
Program management and project management experience
Ability to work with global and cross-functional teams spanning LCD, Technology and the Firm
Proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel and IT systems generally
