Applies system solutions to business problems through the design and programming of automated systems. Configures, analyzes designs, develops, and maintains ERP program code and applications to support business processes and functions. Works on elements of large, complex installations. Design, code, test, and install complex computer programs based on technical specifications using the ERP development environment and the ERP developer’s toolset. Meet with business users to analyze complex business processes, gathering information regarding programming needs, objectives, functions, features, and input and output requirements, and recommend technical solutions. Lead development efforts as the project manager for small to large projects by defining project scope, checking progress and deadline, and updating project status to manager and functional users in a timely manner. Assist users with system regression testing related to enhancements, patches, bundle releases, interface changes, system upgrades. Re-apply custom modifications in the event that a customization is affected by a vendor maintenance release. Work with users and IT members on a routine basis to troubleshoot reported problems pertaining to application software. Identify the cause, design or develop an approach for resolution. Upon approval, implement the correction/customize software. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address business process issues and with technical teams to ensure system integrity. Develop skillsets both personally and technically by attending appropriate training and learning on the job. Mentor junior developers in following best practices and ensure code quality. Performs other duties assigned.
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or related field. 6+ years experience utilizing current generation of ERP toolsets and applications, designing, developing, and documenting technical solutions or the equivalent experience. Reliable transportation for occasional trips to UTA campus. Evidence of progressive responsibility in previous positions.
Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business or related field. Technical ERP development experience in the Higher Education industry.
Strong knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle
