The UMKC Human Resources Office is seeking an individual to serve as a Recruiter/Talent Acquisition Specialist. This position will focus on designing and delivering efficient, effective and progressive programs and services in the areas of recruiting, onboarding and talent acquisition. Duties include but are not limited to:
Search, source and recruitment of talent, networking, and lead generation
Partner with internal constituents to understand strategic business objectives and organizational design in order to develop strategies that will meet current and future staffing needs
Coordinate the recruitment process and life-cycle, including assessments, interviews, and offers
Provide high level expertise for routine and complex problems as they relate to talent acquisition
Manage job postings and seek out new, innovative sourcing avenues to reach more qualified candidates for our diverse hiring needs
Attend career fairs/networking events on behalf of UMKC
A bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 3 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary.
Bachelor's Degree in human resources or closely or related field preferred
Demonstrated ability to use creative and innovative recruiting methods including networking, career events, social media, internal sourcing, building & nurturing relationships to attract & engage talent
Minimum of three years' experience in developing, delivering, evaluating, and improving talent acquisition programs
Demonstrated ability and experience working with a wide variety of technology
Ability to work effectively across functional/departmental lines and at all levels of the organization
Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaborate with others when necessary
Demonstrated consulting and project management skills; and ability to handle multiple projects while meeting deadlines
Detail oriented with exceptional organizational and time management skills
Human Resources Certification (HRCI and/or SHRM)

Anticipated hiring rate is expected between $47,476 - $57,000, commensurate with education and experience.
