Our Analyst role offers a unique opportunity for ambitious professionals to play a meaningful role in Jefferies' expanded technology investment banking practice, while gaining hands-on experience in M&A, Equity Capital Markets and Leveraged Finance for leading Technology companies. Analysts are active in day-to-day transaction execution while gaining client interaction and live deal experience on lean transaction teams. Primary Responsibilities:
Draft and prepare pitch books with detailed industry materials for multiple technology sectors
Compile a variety of financial analyses such as valuation, M&A scenarios, leveraged buyout analysis and three statement operational models
Draft private and public marketing materials such as offering memoranda, confidential information memoranda, and S-1s
Develop target lists for potential buyers, investors and strategic partners
Conduct in-depth industry research and trend analysis
Mentor and train junior Analysts
Bachelor's Degree from a top tier institution with an outstanding academic record
1-2 years investment banking transaction advisory execution experience preferably within a technology coverage or related group
Demonstrated interest in and knowledge of technology and finance
Creativity and intellectual curiosity
Superb communication (written and verbal), interpersonal and presentation skills
Strong valuation skills and significant valuation experience
Proven ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines
Strong proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel & PowerPoint)
Lives in San Francisco or willing to relocate
Helpful but not required: A background in technology, such as technology banking or consulting, or an undergraduate degree and/or work experience in a technology/engineering field
