The role is within the APAC Recovery & Resolution Planning team. RRP rolls into Global Treasury from an organization perspective. Funding for this role is being met by the 2019 Global RRP Capabilities program.
The role involves Project Management of the Swiss Contractual stay regime across all APAC Branches. This requires the amendment of the contractual basis on which the bank trades with counterparties for a particular subset of transaction types.
The Project is midway from an implementation perspective as we have met the first compliance timeline of 31/12/2018 set for all Banks and Security Dealers, barring a small population of Chinese counterparties who continue to remain outstanding. We are currently implementing Wave 2 for all other counterparties as well as working through the outstanding China population. The implementation timeline for Wave 2 is 30/6/2019.
The role involves coordinating with the central project team located in NYK, APAC Client outreach team based in Hong Kong, various Legal experts (Hong Kong, China and Switzerland, external counsel) as well as front office representatives, business COOs etc.); Drafting of communications with the home regulator & for other internal senior and very senior stakeholders (ExB level); Regional & Global steering committee meeting updates; Putting together presentation materials, providing accurate & consistent reporting would be a key requirement.
Project has very high visibility both within and outside the APAC region.
