The Administrative Assistant supports the work of the Office of Corporate and Foundation Relations staff who engage external prospects and partners in the local and national corporate and foundation fields. The incumbent must have extensive office management and project management experience, as well as a command of MS Office tools and programs, and experience working in support of a large, complex organization. The incumbent also must have highly developed professional and interpersonal skills appropriate to a public office environment, the ability to learn new skills quickly, and the ability to appropriately handle confidential information and customer service issues. The incumbent will support the Corporate and Foundation Relations advancement team in achieving their fundraising goals. Work is mostly independent with unusual situations referred to others.
Associates degree required;
Minimum of 3 years' experience working in a dynamic professional office environment.
Excellent interpersonal skills and professional presentation.
Fosters respectful communication and collaboration within a diverse community.
Curiosity and active interest in Corporate and Foundation Relations, and the broader mission of the Advancement Division.
Exercises judgement regarding the disclosure of confidential or sensitive information.

Fast learner and ability to retain guidance and training.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and proofreading abilities.

Demonstrated skill in the use of Microsoft programs, including spreadsheet and database programs.
Understands and complies with university and divisional policies and procedures.
