TRAINING SPECIALIST , Office of the Vice President for Finance (VPF)-Practice and Process Improvement Team , to identify, design, develop, curate, deliver, and assess training programs that address VPF's financial practices and processes through in-person and online courses. Responsibilities include defining VPF's overall training strategy; collaborating with directors/business leads to create community-related training on financial practices and processes for VPF business units and the greater MIT community; designing, developing, and delivering curriculum content, training materials, training modules, and teaching aids; managing all aspects of curriculum development programs; engaging in ongoing assessment of VPF's training effectiveness; researching new training techniques, tools, and enabling technologies and suggesting enhancements; maintaining portions of VPF's existing training inventory and developing a maintenance plan that leverages data and includes regular reviews and updates; assisting in clarifying needs related to training, educating community members about available learning programs, and assisting them in making the most appropriate choices; helping organize VPF Hot Topic Forums; and other duties/special projects as assigned.
REQUIRED : bachelor's degree; at least three years' experience in training design, development, and delivery in an academic or related setting; at least one year of project management experience, preferably in a training or higher educational setting; experience with the full training cycle--designing, delivering, evaluating, and assessing results-based training; strong instructional design skills and ability to develop diverse learning solutions; knowledge of training development tools; excellent interpersonal, organizational, and collaboration skills; and ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a culturally diverse environment, stay current with new training technologies/trends, and work independently with minimal supervision.
