This position is responsible for developing, administering and coordinating organization-wide programs in support of the Corporate and Field Risk Management teams. Acts as the back up to Corporate Director of Risk Management and supervises Corporate Loss Prevention & Security Manager.
Develops and implements the organization’s risk management programs in a manner that fulfills the mission and strategic goals of the organization while complying with laws and accreditation standards related to risk management.
Develops and implements systems, policies and procedures for the identification, collection and analysis of risk related information.
Provides Corporate-level consult as necessary for regulatory and loss incidents and follow up.
Directly oversees the Corporate Loss Prevention and Security Manager, to include collaboration with new programs, policies, procedures and investigations.
Designs, manages and monitors company-wide risk management training programs and schedules.
Conducts risk management training as necessary.
Acts as corporate level coordinator for all RMIS tool activity to include project management, staff training, claims intake, data mining and discovery, monthly report design and distribution and RMIS vendor communications.
Acts as risk manager for properties and companies without on-site risk management to include travel to said locations as necessary.
Acts as corporate-level incident commander and/or Go-Team coordinator for all low and some moderate level crisis response events.
Coordinates all administration of risk management content for intranet XPRess site.
Actively participates in or facilitates committees related to risk management and quality improvement.
Acts as back up for Corporate Risk Director during periods of absence, out-of-touch travel, other demands, etc.
Performs other duties as assigned.
A bachelor’s degree in Risk Management or related field or a minimum of five years of equivalent experience.
Practical knowledge of OSHA, DOT, and other applicable regulations and loss control practices.
Industry investigation and interview skills.
Ability to work with minimum supervision to complete assigned tasks in a timely and professional manner.
Ability to travel no less than 30% of the time as well as extended periods of travel as necessary.
Ability to develop practical solutions to problems using available resources.
Experience in policy and procedure writing.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills including report writing and public speaking.
Proven analytical skills in assessing cost effectiveness, cost savings, program effectiveness, and program compliance.
Excellent communication and listening skills.
Must be able to travel – both domestic and international.
