Primary responsibility will be to develop new and sustained support from philanthropic sources (i.e., individuals, foundations and corporations) to ensure adequate funding for NNHSC to achieve funding goals.
Responsible for the supervision of the Grants Manager, Marketing Manager, PR/Development Coordinator and Patient Advocates.
Develop and manage the annual fundraising plan for NNHSC.
Spearhead, coordinate and assist the Board of Directors in special fundraising efforts.
Research and identify new sources of support from corporations, foundations, businesses and individuals. Maintain and upgrade the current donor base. Secure renewal contributions from ongoing sources of support. Produce proposals and reports for new and renewed support from all sources; work with appropriate staff in developing proposals.
Create systems (records), to store information on donors (past and present) that can be used and maintained as a record of funding sources. Lists should be able to be pulled from these records, so that activities (direct mail, fund-raisers) can be successfully implemented.
Implementing fundraising programs to raise money from individuals. Conduct an annual direct mail appeal to secure contributions from past, present and prospective donors. Engage staff and Board in identification of new prospects for support; assist the Board in cultivating prospects.
Saturday hours, evening hours and/or may be required to work at a different site.
Bachelor’s Degree required. Master’s preferred.
5 years management in ambulatory care or similar setting. Demonstrated writing/communication skills.
