Summary of Position: The Event Project Manager’s objective is to lead a cross functional team delivering an excellent attendee experience for community building, educational events for the constituents of Dynamic Communities. This position is responsible for coordinating with multiple departments to ensure deadlines, attendance goals and budgets are achieved. We are looking for a person that has the ability to manage multiple events at the same time, has excellent written and verbal communication skills, is flexible, dedicated and collaborative.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
Track project performance, specifically to analyze the successful completion of short- and long-term goals
Create, communicate and manage the workback schedule including key milestones
Manage contribution margin by ensuring budgetary objectives are met and work with the team to adjust as needed
Manage all cross-team engagement including weekly event team meetings
Manage internal communications
Responsible for post-show management and reporting
Perform other related duties within the scope of position as required
Key Performance Indicators/Expected Results:
Project plans put together for all assigned events that clearly outlines, tracks & communicates milestones, KPIs, etc
Clear communication to the company on project status and results
Work Environment/Expectations:
Position requires 40 hours per week. Additional hours may be necessary.
Travel to manage the events is required (International and Domestic), approximately 3 – 5 trips annually.
Required:
B.S. or B.A. degree
3-5 years of event management experience
Ability to lead a cross functional team
Ability to meet deadlines consistently
Easily adaptable to changing priorities
Excellent decision-making skills
Excellent customer service skills and professional demeanor
Strong organizational and communication (verbal and written) skills
Ability to work independently, use time efficiently and prioritize tasks in a self-directed, virtual environment
Good computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office programs
Good interpersonal skills and team player attitude
Preferred:
Certified by the Project Management Institute
