We’re looking for an experienced Michelangelo of digital design, with proficiency in video creation and editing. This position plays a key role for the American Lung Association marketing team by creating digital creative assets, including static graphics, animations, GIFs and videos. The Digital Designer is someone with a vision for digital creative who can deliver polished assets utilizing innovative design that also adheres to digital channel specifications and brand guidelines. You should possess a passion for great work in a team environment. The ideal designer has HTML/CSS familiarity and illustration is a plus!
Create video assets, proficient in video editing and packaging video assets for a variety of digital channels including PSA distribution, YouTube pre-roll, health educational content and more.
Build our brand with quality design. Produce digital creative assets, including (but not limited to): static graphics, animated graphics, GIFs. All digital creative should adhere to digital channel specifications, brand guidelines and be in line with other related materials.
Define clear brand guidelines across all digital channels and ensure they are maintained. Update changes to the brand standards and guidelines. Keep digital creative files for the team systemized, organized and archived on an-going basis.
Proactively communicate with various members of the marketing team and other stakeholders to bring ideas to life.
Collaborate with marketing team and other stakeholders on all phases of the project, from translating ideas into visual concepts, through design development and refinement, to ensuring implementation of approved designs.
Identify and act on opportunities. Research consumer marketplace trends and competitors’ activities to bring new ideas to the table.
Continue developing creative skills through ongoing education of marketing technology, digital trends and new processes.
Attend weekly meetings and track all projects in order to keep supervisor informed of current workload.
Responsible for creating and supporting a positive, professional, team-oriented work environment by understanding and complying with the organization’s policies and values and being a role model for the American Lung Association brand.
Degree or certificate in related field required
Minimum of 3+ year’s job-related experience on a creative services team inside a marketing department or advertising agency
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and Premiere Pro (or other video editing software)
Proficiency in video creation and editing, ability to manage video editing projects both internally and with third-party creative partners
Should possess a passion for great work in a team environment.
Familiar with responsive design principles to render digital assets for multiple devices including desktop computers, laptops, tablets and phones.
Proficiency with MS Office Suite
Familiarity with basic HTML and CSS is a plus.
Self-motivated with a desire to make an impact
Manage timelines of multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment
Accuracy and attention to detail and deadlines – strong project management skills
