This positon facilitates the university capital planning efforts housed in the Office of Planning and Real Estate; this position will support capital planning efforts though the transition to the Workday/Ebuilder software; provides project support to Director of Facility Planning and other Directors in Physical Planning and Real Estate; works with leadership to develop strategies to develop and support the university Capital Improvement Plan (CIP) ; works with leadership to develop strategies to promote and support Framework principles, university and unit priorities, consistent with institutional goals; works with surrounding jurisdictions and other outside partners identifying funding sources; conducts research and provides formal presentations and written summaries of findings; collects and analyzes data; coordinates meetings and communications to project team members, customers and stakeholders; prepares for meetings; attends meetings and takes meeting minutes; develops and maintains project work plans and timelines; creates agendas and meeting materials; maintains an organized, electronic project folder; develops documents and presentations including the creation of graphics, charts, graphs and tables; reviews and edits documents until finalized; provides other project support as requested by project directors; supports efforts (discussions) in recommending priorities, schedules, and funding sources to implement CIP; responsible for the maintenance of the university Capital Needs Inventory; performs core services; provides consulting in area(s) of expertise to project teams, responds to requests for information; maintain data sets; reviews proposals; assists with general office obligations, office organization, internal projects, and other duties as assigned; act as backup for other staff members, and other tasks or projects as assigned; other duties as assigned. Will require successful completion of a criminal background check.
Manages large and complex projects and skillfully navigates a wide range of tasks and responsibilities including but not limited to, being responsible and accountable for projects as assigned; develops detailed work plans; manages projects to ensure they meet set objectives related to schedule, budget, and deliverables with the highest level of customer service; works with customers; communicates with team members and team leaders regarding status of projects; schedules meetings; maintains an organized, electronic project folder. Performs core services and responds to requests for information; maintain data sets; reviews proposals; assists with general office obligations such as webpage management, office organization, and internal projects; manages and mentors student workers and other duties as assigned.
Bachelor’s degree, or an equivalent combination of education and experience; advanced computer skills; experience with Excel strong analytical, written and verbal communication, and conflict/resolution skills; ability to work both independently and as part of a team on complex projects; work load prioritization and time management skills; flexible, positive, can-do attitude; interest in problem-solving.
Experience working in an office environment; experience with Excel; experience with capital planning for a state university; experience with university capital planning software.
Target Salary: $53,000.00 - $63,000.00 Annually
