Christiana Care Heath System (CCHS) is in the midst of developing a centralized Telehealth Program and is looking for a skilled Senior Systems Analyst to help implement this program.
ABOUT THE OFFICE OF TRANSFORMATION: The Office of Transformation (OT) is responsible for evaluating and determining how Christiana Care can harness emerging technologies and other innovations to improve the health of those we serve, focusing on population health management, exceptional patient/consumer experience and improved system performance.
POSITION SUMMARY: The Telehealth Senior Systems Analyst (TSA) will support the Office of Transformation's efforts to develop a centralized telehealth program which meaningfully engages with patients and consumers virtually to improve their health outcomes. The TSA will be an essential member of the Telehealth Program, overseeing the technical integration and development of several simultaneous telehealth products. The TSA will work closely with team members to research and define technical and business requirements, establish benchmarks and oversee the implementation and testing of several projects. Day-to-day work will vary, but the TSA's core focus is to understand technical and business processes and collaborate with project managers to ensure appropriate resources are in place to develop and launch virtual care products.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Define technical and business components within application lifecycles – these include identifying risks, technical limitations and opportunities of each project.
As a key player in the planning phase of a project, the TSA analyzes and researches the current landscape state and establishes business and technical requirements for each project.
Log, monitor, document and resolve application software problems, issues, risks either directly or with the assistance of others (e.g., Infrastructure staff, other application staff, the vendor, etc.).
Evaluate documented resolutions and analyze root cause trends for ways to prevent repeated future problems.
Perform preventative maintenance, including the installation of service packs, patches, hot fixes, etc.
Escalate as appropriate, application problems and issues to key stakeholders, including management, and end users.
Develops test plans, oversees the testing efforts and evaluates if the development meets pre-determined requirements.
Creates clear process flow diagrams to explain complex technology interactions (flowcharts, block diagrams, etc.)
Engages key stakeholders to confirm requirements, consider design alternatives, facilitate discussions and ultimately drive requirements sign-off.
Documents the full scope of technical needs and acts as a steadfast resource of technical development knowledge.
Evaluates and communicates the technical impacts of a technology implementation.
Works side-by-side with stakeholders, IT and the Telehealth team to lay the groundwork for projects and then helps forecast and overcome roadblocks.
In conjunction with the Telehealth team establishes program metrics and then analyzes project results against established benchmarks to evaluate effectiveness and impact.
Analyzes data to identify areas for improvement or transformation opportunities and then provides alternative strategies.
Natural ability to assess a need, identify the root problem and then research and recommend a creative solution.
Working knowledge with a variety of service technologies (REST, JSON, SMART, FHIR, HL7 etc).
Highly detail-oriented with exceptional written and verbal communication capabilities. Should be able to succinctly communicate effectively with diverse individuals at various levels within the organization.
Enthusiasm while juggling multiple concurrent projects, including the ability to smoothly transition between projects throughout the day.
Comfortable engaging with executives to gather information or provide status updates.
Flexibility to change direction on short notice.
Ability to operate effectively with minimal supervision.
Comfortable working in an Agile environment.
Ability to gain expert level knowledge of acquired software applications.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to acquire a working knowledge of departmental operations are required.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's Degree required (Master's preferred) - B.A. / B.S., Management Information Systems, computer science or other engineering discipline preferred
At least five (5) years of analyst experience
Experience working as a healthcare systems analyst preferred and telehealth experience a plus
Proven success working on medium - large, complex projects with limited supervision
Experience evaluating and implementing new technology solutions
