Technical Program Manager, National Robotics Engineering Center (NREC)-2011747
We are looking for a motivated, self-starter to be a member of our dynamic team as a Technical Program Manager. You will be expected to supervise project managers across many domains to assure proper sustainment and completion of all required activities, milestones and closure dates. Duties include Project Management Office activities, process improvements; as well as project manager mentoring and training. You will have direct report relationships with the project managers and will support the Principle Investigator (PI) in his direct report relationship with their respective academic counterparts as well as the research they are pursuing. You will be a valuable asset that works between the ongoing efforts and upper management to ensure successful projects.

Your primary responsibilities will include:
Work with senior management to develop and implement initiatives to streamline and improve operations project life cycles.
Mentor and supervise other Project Managers to ensure that all NREC Projects within the agreed scope, time, cost, and quality
Gather reporting from Project Managers to present to senior management
Consolidate and report on all projects within the program to senior management and external stakeholders
Directly serve as a Project Manager on multiple medium-to-large projects through their entire project life cycle
Serve as a primary liaison between NREC and NREC clients
Establish project plans and milestones
Execute the project plan on schedule and within budget with effective scope management, time, quality and cost constraints
Actively manage scope, schedule, risks
Engage Project Managers in continuous self-improvement and process improvement activities
Master's degree in relevant field
At least 8+ yrs. in Program Management and Technical Project Management
At least 3 to 5 yrs. in a supervisory role as a Technical Project Manager
Experience working with a diverse team of researchers, mechanical engineers, electrical engineers, robotic engineers, and software engineers
Project Management Certification
Note : The position may require light travel to government installations
