Corporate & Investment Banking: Global Transaction Banking
The Corporate & Investment Bank (CIB) combines Deutsche Bank's Corporate Finance, Global Markets and Global Transaction Banking businesses. This new business division was created in 2017 with the aim to ensure greater alignment of product and sales efforts, enabling the bank to deliver a better service to clients and a more focused resource allocation. Global Transaction Banking (GTB) is a leading global provider of cash management, trade finance and securities services, delivering the full range of commercial banking products and services for both corporates and institutions worldwide.
This role is responsible for trade finance deal management involving De-risking Documentation & Monitoring, trade finance loan covenants tracking and monitoring.
Trade Finance Deal Management (TFDM) is a globally integrated team comprising several core functions, ie TRAFIN, Risk Analytics, De-risking Documentation & Monitoring, Counter Party KYC Requestor, Trade Platform set up and support and SCTF/ STEF Deal Management. TFDM has presence across key locations in Frankfurt, London, New York and Singapore.
The role shall report directly into the Regional Head of TFDM, APAC
Core attributes will be to support and execute TF Strategic Objectives in alignment with global product and client strategies, while maintaining SafeGlobal Tranty and Soundness in line with governance, compliance of policies, rules and regulations.
De-risking Documentation - Management of all regional legal de-risking documentation in Asia which includes version management to the DB standard legal templates, in coordination with DB's Investors / Brokers as well as key internal stakeholders eg Sales, Legal, Compliance, Finance, Distribution & Credit Solutions. Ensure all regulatory changes are reflected in our documentation and overall end to end de-risking processes. In collaboration with Legal and Business, establish additional legal documentation standards to implement new de-risking solutions. Facilitate escalations and refer document deviations to the Global PRI Council for a decisions.
De-risking Monitoring – Ensure compliance of documentary and payment obligations to investors, including both external and internal reporting requirements. Supports Balance Sheet optimization exercises and servicing of investors' needs.
Trade Finance Loans financial covenants monitoring – Ensure compliance of loans financial covenants, in coordination with deal captain and Distribution & Credit Solutions, Risk Portfolio Management and Credit officer
Trade Platform Set up and Support – Responsible of a single project implementation manager of FSC/trade finance online deals. The Project Implementation Manager will coordinate all communication and associated documentation between the Bank and client throughout the implementation phrase, and will be partnered by local TF middle office support for each country, who will provide support for any specific in-country services, including for any legal, product and technical expertise.
TFFI ,Investor and Counter Party KYC Requestor role – Coordinates front to back with TFFI Sales, TF Sales, Distribution & Credit Solutions and COB and oversees execution of the on-boarding of TFFI ,Investors and Counter party by ensuring documentary requirements are complete, facilitating NCA and KYC reviews. Ensures on-boarding requirements are effected in line with KYC policies, while striving to improve end to end turnaround time for on-boarding and reviews.
Support Regional Head in Translation of TF Strategic Objectives into tactical actions and initiatives for the APAC region and delivery and implementation of those actions
Supports management of non-financial risks - ensure compliance with all external and internal regulations, policies and processes, own and remediate respective risks, close all Audit and SII items.
Project management – lead or support multiple global/ regional TF projects and initiatives (eg Documentary Exception Repository, Implementation of new regulatory requirements eg IFRS 9, Launch of new de-risking instruments, Launch and operationalize dbDistribute platform etc)
Continue to look for ongoing ways to promote efficiencies across front and back office to drive productivity and customer experience. In addition, ensuring efficient use of resources for regional execution of the global TF Middle Office strategy
In-depth knowledge of Trade Finance products (TF Flow, Supply Chain Finance, Structured TF), good understanding of the insurance legal framework and familiarity with the various types of de-risking documentation (eg Risk Participation, insurance policies, ECA).
Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with great attention to details. Ability to collaborate and engage stakeholders of all levels, work dynamically across countries and regions.
Self starter, high level of motivation and proactively seeks opportunities for efficiencies and improvements in business and processes.
Strong business improvement toolset (LEAN or Six Sigma), ability to construct current and target state business process maps, identify gaps & impacts. Willingness to take full ownership of complex processes and projects, with adherence to strict delivery timelines.
