Department: 130101 - College Of Education Location: Raleigh, NC Essential Job Duties: Collect and analyze data regarding economically disadvantaged youth, under-resourced and rural counties, and economically distressed urban communities in North Carolina. Research potential contacts; coordinate meetings with local and statewide stakeholders; coordinate travel logistics for off-site meetings. Conduct strategic environmental scans; chart and graph findings; edit reports; provide critical assessments and present recommendations to various stakeholders. Work with communications/marketing team for designing materials/documents that showcase impactful CED outreach and engagement programs. Write grants to support outreach and community partnerships. Travel to off-site meetings as a representative of the College of Education. Attend campus meetings on behalf of Associate Dean for Student Success and Community Engagement Serve as the lead coordinator for STEM in Education Day. Serve as the lead manager for the TIP Scholars Initiative and Rural Works Program. Serve as the university supervisor for TIP student teachers. Teach ED 204 (4 credits) for the Johnston Community College Cohort. Assist in the planning of all future Education Summit Conferences. Assist with recruitment efforts and all other duties, as assigned. Create and partner with 4-H Extension Agents in supporting STEM after school programs in rural counties. Other Work/Responsibilities: Other duties as assigned. Minimum Experience/Education: Require post-baccalaureate credentials or a bachelor's degree plus alternative or equivalent professional training and experience may be substituted for the advanced degree on an exceptional basis. Required Qualifications: Familiarity with word processing, spreadsheet and database software, grant writing skills, project management skills, data mining and ability to analyze and synthesize data, strong cross-cultural and interpersonal communication skills, including public speaking skills. Preferred Qualifications: Ph.D. in Education preferred University teaching experience and experience working in K-12 and/or higher education Required license or certification: Current NC Teaching License or ability to secure one within 6 months of hire date.
