The division seeks a poised, experienced, detailed-oriented, and highly capable individual to serve as Director, Special Projects. This position fills a critical role in support of the project management, strategic planning, and implementation of multiple, high profile complex initiatives and events, including those related to fundraising and engagement. This includes the comprehensive campaign, as well as overall University initiatives, specifically the sesquicentennial.
These initiatives occur on-campus as well as domestically and internationally. This position creates, leads and implements strategies for programs, works closely with internal colleagues/leaders, oversees budgets, and provides post activity assessment and evaluation. These responsibilities include providing support to various units, and programs, including the Chancellor's office. Activities are both recurring and one-time.
The Director oversees logistical requirements of event planning as well as the coordination of support services, marketing, communications, and volunteers. Truly, this is a project management position for someone skilled in events and/or projects and understand the planning and management necessary for successful engagement, while working in tandem with the skilled events planners across campus to bring these critical projects to fruition.
Additional project management can include, but is not limited to: assistance with reunions, campaign events/initiates and athletic events: Bowl games and NCAA tournaments.
