The department of Aerospace Engineering at Iowa State University is seeking qualified candidates for a Program Coordinator I to oversee the College of Engineering's Make to Innovate (M2I) program. This position will provide management and oversight to facilitate the advancement and growth of the M2I program.
Primary responsibilities will include assisting with budget development, setting strategic goals and action plans, assigning lab space, and engaging in outreach activities to promote industry program support. Additional duties include assisting in the management of the M2I program's equipment and supervising student employees.
The successful candidate will have effective management and organizational skills, the ability to work well with a diverse population, and the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. All staff members are expected to interact collegially and maintain the highest standard of integrity and ethics.
Required Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of related experience; OR a Master’s degree; OR a combination of education and/or related experience totaling 6 years unless otherwise specified under supplemental required education and experience. Experience must be at a comparable level and directly related to the duties of this position.
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Additional years of teaching lab experience. - Experience with shop tools such as drills, CNC, and saws. - Project management experience.
