The Rockefeller University seeks a Hospital IT Manager to join Hospital. The Manager of Hospital IT will be responsible for managing and streamlining the operation of the Hospital IT department and ensuring alignment with the business objectives and mission of the organization. Will lead the Hospital Electronic Health Record Implementation process as well as plan, coordinate, direct, and design all operational activities of the Hospital IT department. Will provide direction and support for Hospital IT solutions that enhance mission-critical business operations, and work closely with decision makers in other departments to identify, recommend, develop, implement, and support cost-effective technology solutions for all aspects of the organization.
Master's degree and a minimum of 8 years of experience in Information Technology including at least 2 years of experience in healthcare IT, informatics, or research science required. Advanced technical skillset required, either from the angle of project management with an acquired exposure to network architecture, data transmission, databases, and application programming or from the angle of a programmer/developer/engineer who has had prolonged exposure and interaction with upper-level project management of healthcare IT and Informatics. Must have strong technical and computer skills, including Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Oracle/SQL and familiarity in reporting tools (Crystal, Jasper iReport, etc.). Must have a deep willingness to gain SME (subject matter expertise) in protocol development, study applications and submissions, and IRB workflows as well as study/subject management. Must have strong organizational, interpersonal, analytical, verbal and written skills as well as the ability to translate verbal instructions into action. Must be willing to work occasional off hours and on weekends.
