The Project Coordinator position involves the coordination of research and evaluation primarily for the SPARK Ohio project.

The SPARK Ohio project is an ongoing evaluation of an early childhood education intervention that serves nearly 3,000 children annually (as of 2018). It is intended to provide intervention to disadvantaged preschool children and adequately prepare them for kindergarten success. Kent State University provides the evaluation component of the program to the Early Childhood Resource Center (ECRC), which manages the intervention.

The Project Coordinator position will primarily coordinate the evaluation of the SPARK program, which includes, but is not limited to, data collection, database management, statistical analysis, survey creation/distribution, staff training, data presentation and publication, face-to-face interviewing and focus group facilitation and program quality improvement initiatives. The Project Coordinator will also assist with other projects as needed.
Additional Examples of Duties – if applicable:
Master's degree in public health, psychology, social work, public administration or other area related to health policy and management social and/or behavioral sciences and program evaluation.
1+ years experience with large-scale project management necessary, as well as upper-level data analysis skills. Knowledge of the SPARK program and evaluation.
Experience working on and conducting evaluation for the SPARK Ohio program. Experience conducting statistical analyses required of SPARK Ohio program.
Knowledge of SPSS, STATA, SAS, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Keynote, Numbers, Pages and PC and Apple computers. Experience with evaluation research design and community-based projects. Expertise with univariate and multivariate statistics.
