EXHIBITIONS NEW PROJECTS MANAGER , MIT Museum , to work closely with a diverse group of teams including scientists, technologists, curators, and practitioners on cross-disciplinary presentations. The Museum is building a team to begin the formative phases of work to plan and create exhibitions for its new location in Kendall Square, opening fall 2021. Will work collaboratively with the director of galleries and exhibitions, manager of exhibitions, curators, designers, and teams; be responsible for the initial project scoping, management of process and workflow across multiple projects, management of team communications, and project logistics with consultants and vendors; and contribute as a team member to the development of exhibit experiences, managing the content development process, supporting evaluation, and managing text writing and editing workflows. Some research and coordination with Collections and managing experiences that may include media development and production is in the scope of this role. Will also conceptualize the project process and maintain a big picture view through concept development, design, production, launch, and installation phases. REQUIRED : B.A./B.S. (M.A./M.S. preferred) in science, math, engineering, science education, social sciences, or a field related to informal teaching and learning; a minimum of five years of experience project managing museum exhibitions; excellence in initial project scoping and managing the workflow of teams; strong time management skills; meticulous attention to detail; and the ability to manage collaborative relationships.
