Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Information Technology Compliance & Quality Assurance Analyst for the Division of Continuing Studies (DoCS). This position supports the Project Manager within Information Technology (IT) at the Division of Continuing Studies.
Among the key duties of this position are the following:
Audits, documents, and assists on remediation issues for all websites under the Division of Continuing Studies to ensure ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) compliance and standards are being met and maintained.
Serves as the liaison between the IT department, all DoCS business units, and their website content owners to ensure that published content meets ADA standards.
Creates a routine schedule to evaluate if ADA standards are being met on a recurring basis and to ensure compliance is currently maintained.
Serves as the IT software quality assurance (QA) tester by ensuring and certifying that all in-house developed applications and websites satisfies requested client requirements and are software bug-free.
Performs QA testing with end-users on UX design with the goal to provide dynamic feedback on in-house custom developed website templates, server-side applications, and mobile products within the purview of ADA compliance.
Designs procedures for application and website deployment from development to QA to production.
Minimum Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
A minimum of two years of software development experience in a related field.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Excellent organization, writing, presentation, interpersonal, customer service and technical skills
Fluent in at least one of the following tools/technologies: JAVA, PHP, C#, SQL, and PL/SQL
Knowledge of testing software to prefer UX, ADA, function and feature test of all websites and custom applications
Linux/Unix environments and source code version control systems (GIT, GitHUB, Selenium, etc)
PHP, C#, SQL, and PL/SQL
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
Position requires work at a computer workstation for a major portion of the day
Any certifications that specifically relate to ADA can be stated on resume for consideration of experience. Specific examples may include but are not limited to ADA Certification by State and Local Accessibility
Or ADA Coordinator Certifications.
Alternatively, since this position relates to process management, any professional certificates that demonstrate the ability to build or manage a process life-cycle.
