This Research Speech-Language Pathologist position is ideal for an ASHA-certified speech-language pathologist who is interested in developing a specialization for treating speech sound disorders in school-age children, while simultaneously contributing to the existing evidence base for intervention. The SLP will follow study procedures to conduct an approved clinical trial, administer standardized and researcher-developed assessments and treatment, and must be willing to learn to deliver articulatory and acoustic biofeedback interventions as part of speech therapy sessions. Additional duties include project management; participant recruitment; maintaining and managing research data and documentation; collaborating with clinical and research experts in speech-language pathology both on site and at two other clinical sites; and assisting with dissemination of research findings.
The position may be appropriate for speech-language clinicians interested in pursuing a PhD or completing postdoctoral training. The position is for 5 years and is funded by a grant from the National Institutes of Health.
