The Lakshmi Mittal South Asia Institute, Harvard University (LMSAI) is seeking a Program Coordinator for its India Office based in Delhi. Under the direction of the India Country Director, the Program Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating the South Asia Institute's program funded by a three-year Tata Trusts grant. The program is comprised of several faculty-led projects focused on social entrepreneurship and sustainable livelihoods.
Position responsibilities include:
Coordinating and providing high-level logistical and administrative support to faculty and their research teams on projects across India;
Liaising with various stakeholders – including faculty, research assistants, Harvard administrators, Tata Trusts contacts, local vendors – to ensure all activities comply with grant stipulations;
Managing and tracking project funds, under guidance of India Office Finance and Grants Manager;
Monitoring project implementation and gather data from project teams for grant reporting; and
Preparing required reports, including Quarterly Reports, Annual Workplan and Utilization Certificates.
The LMSAI engages faculty and students through interdisciplinary programs to advance and deepen the teaching and research on global issues relevant to South Asia. Founded in 2003 to further Harvard University's engagement with South Asia, LMSAI is a university-wide research institute at Harvard that engages faculty members, students, and in region institutions through interdisciplinary programs to disseminate knowledge, build capacity, inform policy, and engage with issues that are shaping South Asia today.
This is a grant funded position for one year, with the with the possibility for continuation for up to two years.

Two years' experience. Bachelor's degree may count towards experience. Experience with Adobe Acrobat and Microsoft Office.
Bachelor's degree strongly preferred.
Must have cultural and relational sensitivity.
Experience in a U.S. academic setting strongly preferred.
Program and/or project management experience strongly preferred.
Customer service orientation with excellent organizational, logistical, and time management capabilities.
Ability to work independently with strong attention to detail and follow-through are essential, along with the ability to meet deadlines.
Must possess strong English and written communication skills.
Must enjoy working as part of a team and enjoy working in a fast paced environment.
Ability to work some nights and weekends required.
