SUMMARY We are currently working with a globally operating contract manufacturer located in Allegheny County to identify a Quality Lead.
In summary, the Quality Lead will develop and implement quality control systems, procedures and documentation, and quality improvement initiatives. The successful incumbent will have a minimum of 3 years of experience in a QA or QC role with some supervisory experience. He or she should be equally detail oriented and dynamic in personality. The ideal candidate will have a love of process, an eye for inspection, and most importantly, reverence for documentation. In return, our client will offer an exceptionally clean and team-oriented work environment with steady, daylight hours. The compensation is 40k to 45k based on experience.
POSITION • Develops and initiates standards and methods for inspection, testing, and evaluation. • Ensure levels of inspection are set, communicated, and followed. • Maintain Quality objectives. • Applies SPC methods needed for process control. • Contributes to purchasing supplier performance reviews. • Prepares pre-launch control plans, PPAP and control plans as required by customers. • Maintains knowledge of industry quality standards. • Follows, complies, and manages to IATF 16949 / EMS specifications. • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and procedures.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED • High School Diploma / GED required; Associates degree preferred. • 3 years of experience in a QA or QC role; manufacturing environment required, contract manufacturing a plus. • 3 years in a supervisory or management role. • Understanding of Quality Systems. • Experienced in First Article Inspection, PPAP standards and APQP documentation. • Knowledge of ISO 9001 required; TS / IATF 16949 / EMS and ISO 140012 helpful. • Proficiency with Microsoft Office. • Excellent written, oral communication and organizational skills. • Ability to work in fast-paced atmosphere with high level of accountability.
