This position will advance the mission and raise the profile of Hamilton Lugar School of Global and International Studies (HLS) and its respective area and global centers within Indiana and nationally by developing and implementing new, proactive, and innovative approaches to international education outreach. Develop and foster international education programs (virtually and face-to-face) that will advance engagement and capacity in international issues, world affairs and cultures, and global careers. Advance international understanding and global competencies through outreach and programming to a wide range of stakeholders, including K-12 schools, prospective HLS students, businesses, colleges, media, and the public. She or he will plan and facilitate outreach programs, meetings, and events, and arrange guest speakers and program agendas for trainings, institutes, and conferences. The Outreach Administrator will coordinate the advertising and marketing of outreach projects and the update and maintenance of related websites. Will be responsible for constructing reports and maintaining outreach databases, particularly as needed for Title VI reporting, and for overseeing the development of instructional materials to enhance global teaching. The International Education Outreach Administrator is the primary point of contact for schools, teachers, communities and external agencies seeking HLS services in global educational outreach.
REQUIRED: Bachelor's degree in related field and two years of progressively responsible experience in a communication, outreach, curriculum, or student development position at a university or international NGO.

Excellent interpersonal skills and a customer service orientation. Ability to effectively communicate and exchange information with a wide variety of individuals within a diverse environment. Strong organizational and multitasking skills including the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Master’s degree in related field. Four years of experience with two of those four years working at a higher education institution. Working knowledge of a language other than English. Familiarity with IU Bloomington academic programs. Working knowledge of content management systems. Experience in social media, videoconferencing, interactive digital platforms, and website development. Passion for and experience with international education and language learning.
