Join us in support of our mission to provide exceptional IT service to a diverse customer base at the University of Minnesota. The Office of Information Technology (OIT) currently offers an opportunity to manage, develop, and lead teams of IT professionals who provide second tier support for a broad range of enterprise IT services. We seek a dedicated professional to maintain accountability for the effective operation of our support teams, which involves setting standards and goals and overseeing 18 full-time staff. A successful candidate will have a passion for technology and customer service and strong analytical, problem solving, decision making, and interpersonal capabilities.
This position reports to the Senior Manager for Service Management and works closely with the IT management team and cross-functional team leads (Service Owners) to ensure the right resources are available to support the strategy for IT services.
Salary Range: $85,000-$95,000 (depends on qualifications)
University paid contribution (10% of your salary) to your retirement account - vested immediately.

Bachelor’s degree and four years of related experience or a comparable combination of education, experience, and/or training.
Previous success in professional IT leadership roles, such as team lead, project management, supervisory, or managerial positions.
Strong commitment to support the University’s goal of creating a positive and inclusive campus climate for all by advancing equity and diversity.
Experience managing employee and team performance using a combination of formal and informal feedback channels.
Experience with employee recruitment, hiring, retention, and development.
Experience managing small to medium size IT projects.
Prior experience directly supporting end users.
Prior managerial experience for an IT support function.
