Teach a Middle School Elective in robotics
Operate as Kent Denver VEX Robotics coach
coaches the Kent Denver robotics team and oversees the 6th to 12th grade robotics program as a whole.
recruits team members and teaches students about technical writing, engineering analysis, engineering drawings, programming, project management, robot construction, safety, leadership, interpersonal communication, conflict management and game strategy.
interfaces with parents, teachers and administrators, to support program goals.
take the team to compete in 8-10 competitions within Colorado and National/World Championships, in addition to organizing and running a yearly robotics tournament at Kent Denver.
Inspire student-directed learning in technology and design
Be a part of the Institute of Technology and Design
Act as an institute advisor to student-directed projects
Support student development of personalized learning plans
Supervise Independent Studies in Technology and Design
Manage and run independent study showcases
Assist in staffing Kent Denver’s impact studios
Architect technology and design projects and groups at Kent Denver for students to be a part of inside and outside the classroom
assist teachers as they integrate tech and design projects into their classroom.
support students and teachers who are working on individual class projects
Other duties as assigned and relevant
~40-50 hours per week, during academic school year
Mondays - Fridays 11:00am - 6:30pm, Saturdays robotics open labs & practices (~4 hours) and competitions days (~8 hours)
