Essential Job Duties:
The Program Coordinator is responsible for the management of the CALS Online Academy program and serves as the primary interface with instructors, students, partners (extension, industry, community college, international and university), site coordinators, Advisory Committee, and NC State and CALS HR and budget officials. The incumbent manages all operational components of program delivery.
Primary responsibilities of the position include:
Establish excellent working relationships with participants (25%). Develop and maintain a highly professional atmosphere and customer service level at all times with instructors, students, partners (extension, industry, community college, international and university), site coordinators, Advisory Committee and NC State and CALS HR and budget officials. Use strong project management skills and manage the continuous process of multiple programs being delivered simultaneously.
Manage program (25%), including directing all aspects of the selection and management of instructors and sites for the CALS Online Academy, work with CALS IT to select and manage software, work with Advisory committee to maintain course quality, direct all aspects of the course offerings, and coordinate confirmations of course completions with partners.
Communication, marketing, and assessment (20%), including cultivating relationships and communications among instructors, students, partners (extension, industry, community college, international and university), site coordinators, and Advisory Committee; answer queries on the program; oversee outcomes assessment; develop marketing materials; and provide reports and advice to program leadership.
Program administration (20%), including management of fiscal accounts, travel and HR; collect program data and generate reports as needed.
CALS Distance Education support (10%), including cooperating with and providing support to other staff managing these programs in CALS Academic Programs, Cooperative Extension and departments.
Some evening and weekend work and travel to secondary sites.
Require post-baccalaureate credentials or a bachelor's degree plus alternative or equivalent professional training and experience may be substituted for the advanced degree on an exceptional basis.

Required license or certification:
A valid drivers license is required for travel. NC drivers license required within 60 days of hire and must be maintained.
