Ohio University's Office of Information Technology (OIT) is looking for a detail-oriented, versatile, problem solver to join the Service Ownership team and manage a collection of IT services that supports students, faculty, and staff in their learning, research, and administrative support activities.
As an IT Service Owner, you will be responsible for leading and managing multiple OIT services. While many services require a dedicated service owner, there are several diverse smaller services that can be managed by one person. You will manage these services throughout the entire service lifecycle including strategy, design, transition, and operations. This position is responsible for developing service level agreements SLAs for various IT services in partnership with senior IT leadership and is accountable for service objectives and outcomes defined within the SLAs regardless of where the technology components or professional capabilities are sourced from.

Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Serve as a thought leader for assigned service offerings; Identify opportunities for service improvements and enhancements; Promote and market services and service offerings.
Ensure service level agreements are updated annually and service commitments are delivered. Monitor service levels and report service performance metrics
Operate services by facilitating and coordinating service management processes (incident, request, change and problem) throughout the service management lifecycle
Articulate current and future resource demands and resolve resource and priority conflicts with resource managers
Communicate service roadmaps and changes with stakeholders
Manage the internal and external expenditures for the services to established budgets; Forecast future expenditures for overall service operation including investments or divestments based on demand
Set and manage service priorities for run, grow and transform activities and translate needs to functional resource managers.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of IT service management, project management, and resource management processes and practices.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
6+ years of professional experience.
3+ years experience in one of the following: project manager, business analyst, product owner, service owner, or IT-related profession.
Demonstrated ability to create processes, procedures, standards, or policies.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Broad knowledge of IT services and technologies.
Proven aptitude to communicate at all levels with clarity and precision both written and verbally.
Self-starter who is comfortable under pressure with the ability to execute with limited information and ambiguity.
Experience working with senior-level leadership.
Experience developing services, service roadmaps, and service strategies.
Flexible, adaptable, and able to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic, high-pressure, fast-paced environment.
