ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT II , Sloan School of Management-Educational Services Office , to perform complex and diverse administrative duties for the Sloan Educational Services (SES) team, serving as a point person and office manager for a high volume shared services office. Will coordinate and oversee the smooth functioning of group needs and devise systems for oversight and management with regard to departmental process and procedures. Main duties include oversight of ad hoc room reservation requests; managing SES MySloan website and weekly newsletter; overseeing student locker management and assignments; ordering student nameplates for all academic programs; organizing mail folders; providing general office management, including reception for telephone coverage, voicemail management, and daily mail pick up and distribution; maintaining student and class records and coordinating subject evaluations; and other administrative duties as assigned.
REQUIRED : at least three years of related experience; attention to detail; diplomacy; ability to prioritize, juggle multiple projects, and work both independently and as part of a team; strong interpersonal, communication, problem-solving, organizational, and project management skills; initiative; basic statistical skills; comfort presenting to large groups; and experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). The ability to and an interest in using new hardware and learning new software programs will be extremely helpful. A bachelor's degree and experience working in higher education preferred. MIT experience is highly desired, particularly in the realm of graduate student services. General knowledge of international student issues would be helpful. Job #17081-5
