Description: Reporting to the Vice President of Performance Optimization, the Senior Director will have responsibility for leading the Performance Optimization team on an enterprise-wide basis: 1) Lead change, develop and implement a comprehensive plan to deploy Tenet Operating System; 2) Operations oversight of Performance Optimization team; 3) Deploy standards measurement and monitoring system; 4) Analyze results, develop recommendations, corrective actions and financial impact; 5) Develop and implement team, group and hospital communications and education tools; 6) Tenet Operating System governance; and 7) Administrative duties, as assigned. The Senior Director Performance Optimization has responsibility for leading the Performance Optimization team in the implementation of the Tenet Operating System (TOS) and driving financial, clinical and operational improvements across the enterprise. The Senior Director is responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive plan to deploy Performance Optimization (PO) team resources focused on best practices and operational enhancements to improve patient throughput and cost efficiency in all Tenet hospitals. The Senior Director is responsible for leading organizational change using a wide range of process improvement methods to align incentives, focus efforts on key opportunities, manage risk and drive improvement. He/she is responsible for providing senior Tenet leaders with impact analysis of key initiatives and processes, formulating plans to improve outcomes and identifying new performance improvement opportunities for the company. Further, the Senior Director provides operational oversight for teams working within assigned groups and hospitals to solve operational challenges, improve quality and service, and address workflow and productivity. He/she has responsibility for developing, organizing, storing, and distributing key documentation and tools necessary to drive operational and financial improvements. The Senior Director is responsible for developing and implementing communication plans,deployment strategies and education tools for key implementation activities and sustainability. Additionally, the Senior Director collaborates with Nursing Practice Leaders to identify standardization and best practice opportunities, leveraging feedback from PO team members and hospital key stakeholders. Also, the Senior Director works with clinical resources to help identify key process metrics for monitoring and assist in identifying, developing, and validating baseline data. The Senior Director is responsible for conducting and communicating ongoing reporting and statistical analysis to help drive performance improvement. The Senior Director works with the Decision Support and Analytics Teams to develop and implement reports and systems to support improvement efforts, including custom reports, dashboards, scorecards, and electronic patient management systems. The Senior Director works with the assigned Performance Optimization team and demonstrates the ability to: - Lead the Performance Optimization team and facilitate key performance improvement strategies and initiatives to drive financial, clinical, and operational changes across Tenet.
- Measure and monitor Team performance, organizational effectiveness, and program impacts, through quantitative and qualitative data analysis. Identify trends or issues through analysis.
- Lead in planning, defining, and validating analytics, strategy, and methodology for the Performance Optimization organization.
- Design and recommend processes, systems, procedures, and operational changes to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
- Analyze and report results against Tenet expected performance objectives.
- Work with Tenet and Hospital leadership in identifying opportunities, assisting in the development and evaluation of alternatives and improvements, and leading or coaching in the establishment of strategic plans.
- Collaborate with Tenet stakeholders and customer groups to determine general vision, data types, tools, and technology to measure performance.
- Optimize tools, technology, and systems to help staff plan work more efficiently.
- Develop metrics, measures, reports, and dashboards to support Tenet and key stakeholder needs.
- Present measures, metrics and survey results to Tenet leaders and key stakeholder groups, functional areas, and leaders to use in resolving issues, developing business, functional area and strategy, and driving business decisions.
- Provide proactive and appropriate communication to Tenet and facility leaders.
- Provide coaching and mentoring to staff, coworkers, and leaders.
Compensation A competitive compensation program will be tailored to the selected candidate. Base salary will be supplemented by a performance bonus and comprehensive, well-rounded benefits program, which includes relocation assistance. Travel Approximately 75 percent. |
