The Registrar provides administrative oversight for all of Registrar Services activities while providing a student oriented operation for the students, staff, and faculty of Central Washington University. Primary manager of registration, enrollment, transfer articulation, degree check-out, student record information, and academic support services to faculty. Responsible for the consistent and equitable implementation of academic policy and for ensuring the integrity and confidentiality of academic records and for maintenance of data in the Student Information System (SIS). Primary contact for the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA). Provides leadership, supervision of staff, and management of the department. Collaborates with university leadership in the development and implementation of technology applications in support of enhanced services for students and faculty.
Master’s Degree from an accredited institution, and five years of experience within a registrar's office or unit closely connected with registrar services
Demonstrated Student Information System data extraction and analysis skills
Demonstrated knowledge of registrar office organization and operations, as well as the interdependencies of registrar services with supporting units such as information systems and institutional research
Strong oral and written communication skills
Strong interpersonal skills and a demonstrated ability to work with a variety of internal and external constituencies
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
Managerial and supervisory experience

Experience with student records management and privacy laws
Experience with student information systems, degree audit systems, and compliance reporting
Experience with transcript evaluation

Experience with PeopleSoft as a student information system
Excellent analytical skills with experience in data analysis and reporting
