An established manufacturing company, located near Washington, PA, is seeking a Quality Manager / Engineer.
Responsible for all quality assurance and product integrity functions.
Will supervise and be heavily involved with hands-on inspection and quality control procedures with regards to purchased materials, in-process materials and finished products to assure that quality control standards are achieved.
Develop, promote, maintain and execute internal Quality System. Administrate the Corrective Action System. Analyze customer and regulatory requirements to assess their effect on the internal Quality System.
Maintain ISO 9001 / AS9100 status and qualifications.
Plan and support all internal, customer and agency audits and address all non-conformances.
Interface with supplier and customer quality representatives concerning problems with quality assurance and assure that effective corrective action is implemented.
Serve as the Quality Assurance Representative.
Coordinate activities associated with “first article build” of new products, ensuring that fabricated items are traceable to documented standards at the time of release of product into the production.
Compile, write and deliver training material on quality standards and activities.
Develop and/or adapt inspection equipment to meet quality control standards, make suggestions with regard to procedures, standards and equipment to facilitate work and maintain product quality.
Oversee established calibration and testing program.
Responsible for compilation and maintenance of inspection reports and records.
Compile and submit reports on quality issues, trends and losses.
Obtain supplier quotes on raw materials or services necessary to satisfy requirements.
Maintain accurate records of all RMA’s, training, and OSHA records.
Identify and resolve customer concerns.
Support all lean manufacturing projects.
BS Degree in Engineering or technical field and a minimum of 2 years of experience maintaining and developing ISO quality systems
Strong understanding of ISO 9001 and/or AS9100 quality systems; familiarity with NADCAP a plus
Knowledge and use of a wide variety of measuring instruments and complicated drawings
Diverse knowledge of inspection and control methods, techniques and documentation
Computer proficiency in Windows, Internet, Word, Excel, Outlook and Peachtree/Sage product
Proficiency in using AutoCAD and/or CATIA software a plus
Must be self-motivated and have the ability to work with minimal supervision
Must be able to multitask and have strong organizational skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Effective time management skills
Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Willingness to travel, if required
Hours: Monday-Friday, 7:00am-3:00pm, or 8:00-4:00pm, plus possible OT and Saturdays, if needed
Additional Salary Information: Salary commensurate with experience
