This role will be part of our matrix organization and offers a mix of responsibilities including management of an eleven-person CRM team, composed of a service owner, business analysts, and software developers, as well as support for various departments that are responsible for recruitment and retention of undergraduate students across five campuses.This position oversees the operations of the technology/systems, that includes Salesforce CRM. A successful candidate will have a passion for technology, including email marketing, developing enrollment management workflows, data management, application development, and application implementations, experience with continuous improvement, a focus on developing and managing people through coaching and mentorship, and proven leadership skills.

Strategic CRM Implementation - 60%
Ensure the technology solutions produced align with the short and long-term technology policy and strategies of the University of Minnesota.
Understand technology trends and vendor product roadmaps to determine how they best fit the demands/requests of customers and how delivered functionality can best be leveraged.
Coordinate the execution of strategic initiatives and budgeting.
Developing best practices for software Development Lifecycles.
Management of Staff - 40%
Responsible for resource forecasting and allocation, hiring, training and development, performance management, goal-setting, and employee recognition and engagement.
Manage the CRM team of 11 employees
Manage conflict and resolve issues and concerns raised by employees.
Foster an inclusive environment appreciative of differences in the workplace.
Conduct mid-year and annual performance reviews.

Bachelor's degree and six years of related experience, or a comparable combination of education, training, and/or experience.
Prior IT managerial/supervisory experience.
Experience working with mass email/campaign management tools.
Ability to effectively communicate in person and in writing.
Experience working with private data.
Experience with SLATE.
Experience with Agile/SCRUM software development lifecycle methodology.
Experience working with a CRM or content management system and relevant web application systems, preferably with recruitment and admissions.
Experience building relationships across the organizations.
Experience developing test plans and migration plans
Experience with software quality assurance processes, methodologies, and tools.
