The Department of Radiology at Brigham and Women’s Hospital has an unexpected opening for a breast imaging clinical fellow beginning July 1, 2019.
The Breast Imaging Fellowship focuses on all aspects of breast imaging and interventional procedures. The Lee Bell Center for Breast Imaging at Brigham & Women's Hospital has a high volume clinical service, with state of the art equipment, including Hologic digital breast tomosynthesis, Philips US units, an Affirm upright stereotactic biopsy unit, Siemens 3.0 T and GE 3.0 and 1.5T magnets. Fellowship training encompasses screening and diagnostic studies in mammography, breast ultrasound and breast MRI. There is an active biopsy service with over 2000 needle biopsies/year, as well as a radioactive seed localization program. Breast fellows also spend time at Dana Farber Cancer Institute and outpatient community breast imaging centers for a comprehensive breast experience.
In addition to the rich clinical experience, fellows will be expected to participate in teaching and clinical research, journal club, weekly multidisciplinary conferences, and radiology-pathology correlation conference.
