HCM Functional Lead - University Information Systems
The HCM Functional Lead is responsible for supporting the Human Capital Management (HCM) enterprise system,implementing new HCM functionality, analyzing data, gathering requirements, creating reports, and engaging with the HCM stakeholders. HCM is inclusive of Human Resources (HR) functionality, Compensation, Performance Management, Benefits Administration, Time Tracking, Payroll, Absence Management and Faculty Information. S/he partners and works with the University's HR, Benefits, Payroll and Faculty Affairs offices. Duties include but are not limited to:
Helps to optimize and automate HR, Benefits, Payroll and Faculty processes at Georgetown University.
Engages with decision makers, stakeholders, and system users to meet business requirements with innovative system solutions and efficient processes.
Reviews, analyzes, configures and evaluates the HCM system, data/reports and user needs.
Documents requirements, and defines business processes, policies and procedures that are informed by HR, Benefits policies and Campus Operational business strategies.
Manages projects tactically driving the success by applying proven communication, analytical and problem solving skills in order to produce timely, efficient and high quality deliverables.
Responsible for the smooth and successful stabilization of a new HRIS system in a timely and efficient manner. Improper management of the project including; lack of understanding of University business processes, lack of status updates and follow through and lack of collegial communication of project needs could lead to significant delays with configuration and testing of new functionality along with added costs for the project.
Bachelor's degree in Information Systems or Human Resources, with a concentration in Management Information Systems or relevant systems work experience is required.
Ten years' experience in the information systems field along with at least five years extensive HRIS system experience required.
Experience with HR data, reporting and processes - Onboarding/Offboarding, Employee Relations, Employee Records, Compensation, Classification, Performance and Career Management and using a HR System, such as Workday, PeopleSoft, SAP, Lawson and Oracle and SAS application.
Strong technical reporting and documentation skills.
Ability to analyze and document business processes in a technical format. Understanding of project management software.
Prior experience as a project lead implementing or providing post production support of a new HRIS or payroll system strongly preferred.
Demonstrated project management skills, strong business acumen, process and data analysis and solutions oriented.
