The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of company software development capability globally to deliver industry leading software products. This role requires significant experience and a proven track record of successfully delivering mission-critical enterprise software. This individual will drive software development team execution to translate strategy into results.
Direct/manage/supervise the software development function across the software development lifecycle (requirements gathering, development, quality assurance, technical writing and project management)
Manage P&L of software development function
Recruit, hire, train and coach to create world-class software development teams
Manage external 3rd party onshore and offshore software development partnerships
Establish effective measures and processes that allow teams to continuously improve across software delivery, software quality and drive operational excellence
Collaborate with other departments to prioritize and schedule software development initiatives
Leads the work of functional area(s) through subordinate managers and directors
Participate in defining organizational goals and strategic plans
Analyze problems and identify resolutions at a strategic and functional level
Able to develop and maintain positive working relationships with a wide audience, from technical staff to management, clients and coworkers
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science is mandatory (MBA is desirable)
10 or more years in a leadership role managing multiple teams across multiple products and technologies
Hands-on development experience architecting and developing software
Experience with developing in the Microsoft ecosystem (including Microsoft Azure) preferred
International business and financial/investment services industry experience preferred
Demonstrated ability to work in a global, multicultural environment wherein diplomacy and a passion for diversity are paramount
Ability to deal professionally and courteously with internal and external contacts
Excellent English verbal and written communications capabilities required
Ability to multitask, strong attention to detail, self-motivated willingness to take initiative
Confident, strategic thought leader with high level of humility
