Director of Executive Education - Georgetown Law Center
The Director of Executive Education is responsible for the design and implementation of the Georgetown Law Center' s Executive Education events and programs. In addition to creating a series of bespoke Executive Education events in the intersection of Business and Law this position will focus on non-degree revenue generating programs, certificates, and other entrepreneurial programming for lawyers. The incumbent will develop clients and business partners within the local and international community to draw business and create networks for offerings. This position is responsible for a departmental budget, the development of contracts, tracking revenues and expenditures, and may be required to travel. Duties include but are not limited to:
Program Management and Curriculum Development
Lead the strategic build-out of Georgetown Law's Executive Education Programs.
Develop a strategic plan for creating a series of Executive Education Programs and events.
Promote and market Exec Ed outreach programs in new and creative ways.
Develop clients and business partners and grow a net work in support of each program.
Keep up with national, political, and legal trends in Executive Education culture. Utilize the change to market specialized programs.
Buildcommunicationstrategytodeployprogrammaticgoals.Designeffective marketing materials and work with Communications Team and CLEMarketing Manager to distribute.
Travel to campuses, firms, and organizations to present or sell material and programs.
Responsible for print and digital marketing efforts
Academic Events and Conferences
Plan and execute large arid highly coordinated revenue-generating trainings, events and conferences that involve students, scholars, faculty, legal professionals, and other high-level speakers.
Develop recruitment strategies to target highly skilled and trained professionals committed to the Georgetown brand that will increase the programmatic standing.
Gather feedback surrounding the events, identify challenges, and make improvements and recommendations to correct those challenges.
Represent the programs externally and internally by conducting presentations attending conferences, and engaging with legal professionals at other events.
Demonstrateleadershipinthesupervisionandcoordinationofteamsandstaff which include managing daily operation, setting performance goals and performing evaluations,and holding employees accountable.
Act as liaison between programs and various University committees and groups.
Collaborate with departmental staff and managers on shared projects, proposals, concept papers,reports, and program/project planning.
Other duties as assigned.
Masters Degree, J.D. or M.B.A. preferred
7 - 10 years of progressive administrative experience managing an academic or business department preferably in a legal setting
Demonstrated entrepreneurial success and the ability to conceptualize a program, market, and design programming required. Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to exercise good judgment and maintain confidentiality
