The principal programmer analyst is part of a team responsible for supporting and enhancing the peoplesoft application, which includes the following modules: general ledger, procurement, accounts payable, requisition, budgets, a/r billing.
The successful candidate must demonstrate strong technical skills and be able to work both independently and in a team environment, providing expert client management skills.Key job responsibilities include: conduct and lead meetings with clients, analyze business requirements, leverage functionality provided by peoplesoft where appropriate, design technical specifications for customized code, provide written documentation on designs and process flows, develop and unit test application, provide written end-user documentation for clients.
Bachelor's degree in CS or related technical field
8+ years' experience
Experience with implementing and supporting the peoplesoft finance particularly general ledger, procurement, accounts payable, requisition and some experience in peoplesoft hcm
Experience coding with one or more of the following tools: peopletools (application designer, application engine, peoplecode, component interfaces), sqr, nvision, bi publisher, xml
Experience with integrations tools (snaplogic, kafka, integration broker, application package, web services, rest api)
Experience in requirement gathering and documentation.
Strong documentation skills
Strong organizational skills, detail oriented, and the ability to effectively prioritize tasks in a high-pressure environment
Demonstrated ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
Previous experience with higher education institutions
XML and writing sql and/for sql stored procedures in a relational database
Experience using publisher, application packages peoplecode, application engine, component interfaces, nvision, sqr and workflow based tools
Experience with integrated tools like snaplogice, kafka, integration broker, rest api's, web services, component interfaces.
Demonstrated experience with writing technical specifications and design documents that are clear to developers and reflective of business requirements.
Ability to communicate with clients to understand and interpret their requirements and be able to lead meetings representing the finance systems team
Strong written and oral communications skills
Agile and waterfall project management experience
Client management or experience with managing client expectations
