COORDINATOR, EVENTS AND COMMUNITY SUPPORT , Sloan School of Management-MBA Program Office , to serve as an integral member of a seven-person team. Will provide a high level of organization and administrative support. Given the size and complex nature of some of the programs, will work closely at all levels across MIT and Sloan to consistently produce high quality events and programs for Sloan's myriad stakeholders and ensure operational excellence for the MBA and MSMS Program. Key responsibilities include organizing and executing various community building programs and events for the MBA population of 800+; developing and implementing a communications strategy and marketing campaigns for program events; handling financial duties, e.g., purchasing, reconciling accounts, budget preparation and management, and vendor agreements and payments; working as part of the MBA team on a wide range of projects and special initiatives to ensure success of the program; and identifying and implementing programs and events geared towards student experience for MBA and MSMS students, including current and prospective. Will also support the execution of Sloan's major events, orientation, AdMIT weekend, and graduation; and support the assistant dean for the Master of Finance program 10% of the time.
REQUIRED : bachelor's degree (advanced degree desirable); at least three years' experience in a business or academic environment; event and project management experience; proficiency with design software for marketing collateral; proficiency with Microsoft Office (especially Excel and PowerPoint), Adobe Creative Suite (either Photoshop or Illustrator), and SAP; willingness to learn other programs as needed; familiarity with MIT Sloan and MIT policies and procedures highly desirable.
